By Nancy Lindblom

You will need:
One China Plate
One Glass Candlestick
E6000 Glue
Instructions
Hand wash and dry Plate and Candlestick
Mark center back of plate
Cover rim of Candlestick with E6000 Glue

Place center of Candlestick over center back of plate
Allow 24-48 hours to dry

You now have a fun pedestal for entertaining or just setting a plant on.  Perhaps it could hold your jewelry you wear a lot or you keys by the front door.

I had some plates that I loved and just could not lpart with.  I wanted to be able to enjoy them more and this was a great solution for me.  Larger plates need a large based candlestick.

Happy Creating,

Lay your ironing board on a large piece of paper and trace the shape.  Use freezer paper or butcher paper.
Add 4" to the edge, all the way around.
Mark a 2" opening at the center end to run a cord through.

Cut paper pattern out, I did not have wide enough paper so I folded the pattern in half and used the center as a guide.

You can piece your cover if you desire.  I chose to use a printed fabric.

Place pattern on fabric and cut out.   I folded the fabric so that the pattern center fit on the fold.

Press edge under 1/4", then  press 1" under all the way around the edge, this forms a casing for the cord/ribbon.

Measure cord or 3/8" grossgrain ribbon/cord to go all the way around the cover, plus 18".
